About

My name is Joshua,

Mug Shot

To begin with let me first take you to a hospital in Southwest Fort Worth almost 17 years ago. After 9 months of growth and development, I decided much to my mother’s demise that I would have her wait another 2 weeks for my joyous arrival into this world. In return, my parents made the hospital and me wait for 3 days before giving me the name Joshua. I was named for the great leader of the Bible, Joshua. In the years between then and now, I have gained 2 brothers, Jonny and Stephen (Suprise! Boy number 4 is coming Mar/Apr 2007) and three sisters: Sarah, Jordan and Hannah. Through the years our family has enjoyed spending time together, we have gone with my dad on several business trips, where he goes to work and we go to play. I have spent 2 months in Ohio, 1 month in Tennessee, 3 months in Georgia, 1 month in New Mexico, 2 weeks in England and Scotland and short trips to Canada, New York and Austin, all on business trips with my dad. One of the unique things we do in our family is called Camp Grandmother. Some times Camp GM is just for Grandmother and the kids, but other times it is for the whole family, this usually happens every other year or so. We have gone to places like: Los Angeles and San Diego, CA., Ruidoso, NM and the big town of Crosbyton, Texas. But that is another story in itself. I have also gone on a couple of mission’s trips to Peidras Negras, Mexico with my family. I do not just enjoy being with my family when we are traveling I also enjoy building, playing games, playing air-soft and camping with them. To sum it up, I think I am deeply blessed with my family both immediate and extended. I did not go into the extent of my extended family due to the fact my baby sister Hannah is the 24th grandchild on my mother’s side and the 12th on my dad’s side. Then there are all the aunts, uncles and … well the list goes on and on…

I like to do woodworking. I have done big projects like building walls when we remodeled our house and smaller things like building tables, birdhouses and bird feeders. I really enjoy turning pens on my lathe and cutting things out with my scroll saw like puzzles and fret work. Other than woodworking I really enjoy reading and reading and more reading. Did I mention that I enjoy reading? Well some of my favorite authors include: JRR Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, G. A. Henty, Ted Dekker, Frank Peretti, Tim Lahaye, Jerry B. Jenkins, Jake Thoene, Randy Alcorn, Stephen R. Lawhead, and Many Others. I find that I have read many of their books twice and some of them as many as five times. I could tell you about just a few of my many favorite books, but that would take up more time and space then you have to read and I have on this page. When I am not reading, I love camping, hiking, firecraft, tool craft and rappelling. I have taken a basic and advanced rappelling class and would really like to hone that skill more in the future. Another thing I enjoy to do is to play airsoft, it is a lot of fun to try to plan your strategy and it’s great to do it with cousins or friends. I also enjoy music, some of my favorite artists are: Third Day, Casting Crowns, Danny Oertli, Ross King, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Dennis Jernigan, Aaron Shust, Matthew West, Mark Schultz and MercyMe. I enjoy playing the piano and I am Currently takeing lessons from my Music Pastor Vince Collins.
